Last year’s HSC and equivalent results will be announced based on the results of the students’ SSC and JSC examinations.
Now that the daily identification rate has come down considerably, the heads of institutions have been instructed by the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi) and the Department of Primary Education to prepare for the opening of educational institutions.
All educational institutions have been asked to take steps to ensure health safety for their teachers, students and staff by February 4; So that the educational institution can be opened as soon as the order of the higher authority is received.
After the opening of the educational institution, the students of class X and XII will be given classes five or six days a week. Education Minister Dipu Moni has already said that she plans to have classes for others one day a week.
Since classes could not be held for almost a year due to the epidemic, the government has planned to conduct classes for three months with this rescheduling course for SSC and equivalent candidates.
If possible, the Education Minister had earlier announced plans to conduct SSC and equivalent examinations in June and similarly HSC and equivalent examinations in July-August.
What Has Told The Education Minister About Short Syllabus?
Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni has said that SSC and equivalent and HSC and equivalent examinations of 2021 will be held in short syllabus and not autopass. Niti made the remarks while unveiling the newly-installed ‘Bangabandhu Mural’ at the National Academy of Education Management (NAEM) in the capital on Monday (January 25th) and taking part in the inaugural ceremony of the 159th Basic Training Course. He spoke online as the chief guest by joining online from the government residence.
Speaking on the occasion, the Education Minister said that this year SSC and HSC examinations will be held in short syllabus. A short syllabus has been prepared for SSC and HSC candidates which can be prepared in three to four months. On the basis of which SSC and HSC examinations will be held. Before that, students will have the opportunity to prepare for the exam for three to four months.
Addressing the students protesting for autopsy, the education minister said, “You are more likely to be affected by corona in the way you are protesting without following any health rules.” Examination will be arranged by ensuring maximum safety of the students in compliance with all the health rules. So you have nothing to worry about.
Addressing the students, the minister said the HSC candidates had completed all the preparations for the exams in 2020 but the government had considered it for their safety as the infection rate was high at that time. But in the case of those who are candidates in 2021, the situation is different. They could not prepare so much. So it is not possible to give them autopass. The rate of infection is also slowly declining.
Nayem Director General Professor Ahmed Sajjad Rashid presided over the function. Also present on the occasion was the Director General of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Prof. Syed Md. Golam Farooq.
